Its one and two star share is 11 points above the typical installer in the Wailuku area. Across Hawaii, 15 of the 87 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Wailuku area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★45%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Wailuku area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Neighborhood Power is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Not worth even one star. Bought a house with their leased panels, worst service, my roof is leaking due to the panels they would not even come and assess the damage. This is going on now almost two years. Had lawyers involved. Still trying to get them come out and remove their garbage off my roof. DO NOT MAKE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

You absolutly do not want this company in your neighborhood. They did a install in our neighborhood which unleashed a blinding reflective glare as bright as the sun directed right at our place. We brought this to their attention. Their response was to give us a status update and nothing more. It seems we are responsiable to foot the cost of shielding us, our children, our pets and livestock, and our employees from this insane glare from their installation. Again, You dont want this company in your Neighborhood.

This company is horrible. Dishonest, rude to neighbors and arrogant. One upper employee challenged me to fight, I had to call the police. I am amazed people go to them for solar. Don't use them save yourself aggravation!

I have worked with the Project Manager Peter on a few different projects and I can't say I know many harder working people. If Peter is on your project, know that you are in good hands and he will bust his knuckles to get the job done right for you.

An amazing company! Professional, punctual, and affordable!! Here is a perfect example of a company really making a difference with renewable energy solutions from large scale industrial to small residential projects.

It was great working with Neighborhood Power in bringing solar electricity to 17 of Daimler Truck North America's facilities on Swan Island ! And they were also able to connect 150 DTNA employee homes to the solar farm. DTNA is proud to be Neighborhood Power's anchor customer for the PGE Oregon Community Solar program.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
