Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Concord. Across California, 368 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 8 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I had a different experience than other reviewers. Not supporting his old customer which are still under warranty. He is busy with new customers and not able to visit for repairs. Also rude and over confident.

Doug was outstanding! He redid our solar that never worked well. Now it is warm and fully functional. He is smart and creative and really listens. I would recommend him without reservation. It is a pleasure to work with someone who takes pride in his work.

Doug had done the install on the pool system years ago in our Alamo home and I was fortunate to get his contact information from the previous owner. Our Hayward controller had failed, I called Doug and he was able to contact the manufacturer and get a free replacement! When it was time for an upgrade to solar we got three quotes and Doug was the hands down winner based not only on pricing but what really sold us is his technical know-how. Doug looked at our existing system and made recommendations on plumbing changes on the pad for better flow, and since it was a very long run to the panels he

I recently completed a project with Eco Solar and Doug Rotermund and am so thrilled with my experience there that I feel compelled to share. After years of dealing with sub-par solar panel performance, this past Summer I hired Doug to put on brand new solar panels to heat my pool in Walnut Creek. On responsiveness he gets an A+: He answers my calls immediately, and follows through. When I need something, he has someone here within the hour. He came up with a brilliant design for the panels that he created himself and installed: The panels work great and this is the warmest my pool has been in

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Concord is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
