The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 102 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Electricians say they set up everything wrong. We paid a fortune for panels and we’re still paying the same amount for pgne and now we got a bill 15 times higher than usual. Sales person wandered into our house and I’m furious

Terrible customer service. Difficult to get them to follow through with sending me a contract I signed. Very Frustrating.

SolarXperts engineering was great and added the new circuit breaker board. However, the installation company they chose, Freedom Forever, were stomping on my roof and damaged it. This is AFTER both Solar Xperts’ Roof Inspector and Freedom Forever’s Roof Inspector “approved” my roof as Good. Assuming to last another 20 years. Within a few months after completion of the project in 2021, we had the first atmospheric rain in the Bay Area. My roof leaked and my bathroom walls swelled with water bubbles. Justin Shields was always my point person and was very supportive and responsive. He worked with

My experience with SolarXpert has unfortunately not been entirely positive. The system has been working flawlessly for almost five months, and we are very happy that we purchased a solar system. Unfortunately, we have found that SolarXpert is not very punctual with deadlines and sometimes only responds to inquiries after weeks and several reminders. The company's response is always the same: Delays can always occur; in the current climate, goods are simply not being delivered as agreed. We had to contact the manufacturer to answer our question, and they took their time. Of course, we understan

Joy from SolarXperts was amazing. She’s very honest and takes care of her customers on a professional and personal manner. When I encountered delays with the city permit and PG&E, Joy took it personally to resolve the issues. The overall experience was worth it. With the solar panels that Joy helped me implement, PG&E can no longer dictate when I can use my own electricity. Bless and Thank You Joy.

Joy Brown is amazing. I was soooo frustrated with the process... Joy made it so easy for me to understand all the cost and installation process . Very patient with me. She is definitely an asset to the company. I would steal her if I had a solar company.!!! Lol... JOY BROWN ROCKS... THANK YOU SO MUCH...

Hugo and Angelina kept me informed all the way through the installation process, with frequent phone calls. Hugo made sure I knew that I could call him at any time if a question came about the system itself or the installation. I feel that Hugo and his team really had my back. Installation went quickly, taking just a few hours. I had requested some additional monitoring capability, and the parts were not available on installation day. Just a few days later, they arrived and a quick visit from the installers had the system completed. I highly recommend solarXperts for anyone considering a PV so

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“Your system will come with a guaranteed amount of power to be produced from…”
  • 24/7 availability

“will be able to monitor production 24 hours a day. If it ever breaks or produces less…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
