Its one and two star share is 23 points above the typical installer in New York. Across New York, 29 of the 247 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 8 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Hires employees who think it’s acceptable to throw trash out of their company vehicles on the roadway.

This has been of the worst experiences I've had. It's been 7 months since I signed the contract with EMES SOLAR and my solar is still not activated. Throughout the process I've had to constantly call to move things along if I wouldn't call nothing would get done. Then after finally getting the PTO (which again only happened because I called the DOB to push it through) Still have to wait over a month for them to schedule the electrician to show up to my house to turn it on When he did show up he said there's something wrong with the optimizer and the office will take care of it Fast forward ano

Great team at Emes! They installed 24 panels on my home and I've saved a lot of money on my PSEG Bills! Thank you!

Eli Siegal answered all of my questions and helped us craft an array and financing package that suited our vision. On the day of the install the team showed up on time and finished in one day. The work was neat and precise and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend Emes Solar for any residential PV install!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
