I don't usually leave bad reviews, and I want to state right away that I did not get further with this company then whoever just rudely dealt with my phone call. But given the difficultly that existing solar owners have when the original contractors retire / move on, a bit more sensitivity might be called for from a reputable company (I called because many of my neighbors had great things to say!) I called because I have replace my roof and as part of the process remove / re-install my panels. It occurred to me that since everything is 11+ years old, I'm going to have to pay to have it taken o

Everything from system design and installation went very smoothly and my system was turned on in early November 2025. Since then I have an error telling me “There is an issue with your Gateway meter measurements. Please contact your maintainer for help.” I have contacted PlugPV, they’ve twice sent a technician who said the system is operating as it should, yet the error persists. According to Jared in accounting (who calls me for the remaining balance I owe) a work order is open on my case, yet no one contacts me to resolve the issues. The production numbers in the app don’t make sense, often

Plugpv has no idea how to get permits. What should take 7 days took 6 weeks and always blamed someone else, when it was always their fault. The final completion was 3 months late,(April 2nd) always blaming some other organization for their lack of expertise. After completion never heard from them again. I contacted Enphase and installer for setup and communication information. It is now June 25th and found out I was not getting credited for power exported to electric company. I found out from power company if you are purchasing your electricity third party your local utility does not credit yo

From beginning to the end of the project, I was given valuable information and details. The timeline that was given was met. Very pleased with everyone involved, sales, project manager and installers. With only a week of completion, I am seeing energy being produced. Definitely would. recommend Plug PV as a residential solution to ease electric bills. Wanted to update my review and experience with Plug PV. After approximately 2 weeks I had 7 of my 13 panels stop working correctly. I reported it when I spotted the issue. Although I contacted a few people, I didn't get a real response for over a

What an amazing group of people work for this company, from sales to project managent, to installation, all professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful. I highly recommend this company 5+ stars

Recently had solar panels installed on my house. Plug PV was great start to finish - they explained everything in detail, the install was seamless, and my panels just went live this week! Looking forward to seeing how it goes moving forward, but I can confirm I can see my panels working via the app (which is really cool). This didn't cost me any money up front, and my monthly payment for the panels will be at the average of what I pay National Grid for electricity - so my thought process was if it costs no more, improves my home value, and helps the planet, how can I say no? Highly recommend t

Excellent experience from initial contact, through the information and guidance period down to the installation - everything and everyone was extremely competent and professional.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“YEARS OF COMBINED EXPERIENCE With over 150 years of combined experience in-house, at…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
