Kasselman Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in the Albany area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Kasselman Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I disagree with how my EV panels were installed 3 yrs ago by Kasselman; snowed collects on them, blocking theeir ability to generated electricy, I wanted some panels on the front of my roof but was over ruled by the system designer.

Update 11/20/25 I am torn asi had both good and bad experiences with Kasselman. Ultimate I don't think I will use them again for solar installation. Installation was quick and easy but had issues years 3-5. My electrical box melted because the wires from solar moved and came loose They came out and fixed it, but I had several companies come out first to figure out what the burning smell was. Kasselman does not reimburse you although they say they will. Secondly, I have mold in the attic from a leak from solar installation. Again they fixed the leak and their guys were professional, but I am le

The installation by Kasselman Solar was fine, but they haven't supported their warranty. I have been calling and emailing about a bad panel for about a year with no resolution. They did sent techs to my house to confirm the panel needs replacing, but no followup since then. I have another friend who has had the same bad experience with their warranty and lack there of.

Perhaps they do good work? Will never know. Did a video appointment and never heard anything back from them after that. Went with a competitor that came to the house for multiple visits to answer questions and explain the solution, verified all of our electrical, where panels should be placed, where the trenched electrical will run etc. Kasselman didn't talk about any of these things and used a 5+ year old satellite image of the property as their assumptions. They must be doing great if they could completely neglect a 100K project.

I have used these folks twice 6 years apart and I think they are truly great. Everyone on the crews have been so nice, and the electricians and supervisors have worked extremely hard and diligently to get the systems up and running quickly. And this includes following up with building and electrical inspectors. They also follow up to make sure you have filled out tax and loan benefits correctly and quickly. Seriously I whole heartedly recommend you call them if considering an installation.

We recently expanded the solar footprint on our roof by adding 10 more panels needed due to the addition of more electrical usage and the affect of winter snow coverage of the panels. Kasselman Solar designed the expansion to reposition formerly placed panels so as to facilitate the addition of new panels of different size to make an aesthetically pleasing final product and also allowed us to have greater solar exposure to maximize production.

20 years ago, Kastleman SOLAR installed our original solar panels. We added the same amount of panels that produce more power! Happy to say we no longer have any power bills except the delivery charges. I would recommend Kastleman SOLAR anytime.!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

• Google also lists this company under electrical and insulation.
• It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
