Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in the Riverside area. Across California, 700 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 567 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Riverside area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★40%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Riverside area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. EnergyAid is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Roman showed up on time and was communicative on when he would be there. He was thorough in his work and seemed to have an idea of why my solar wasn't producing. My reason for two stars is that he never found the issue and said it could be connections under the panels and would need to come back to lift to check them. I don't understand why the company wouldn't be prepared to diagnose any issue when I'm paying $300 for them to do so. I was told I would be contacted to set up the next date and never got a call. Will update review once work is completed.

While the technician's service was excellent, my experience with EnergyAid was anything but. I was charged an unjustified $299 fee despite their complete failure to assist with my request. I specifically reached out for help with my solar panel monitoring app, making it abundantly clear that my panels were functioning properly but that I needed guidance due to SunPower going out of business. The SunStrong management company referred me to EnergyAid for this support, yet they provided **absolutely no resolution**—only a hefty charge for nothing in return. This level of corporate dishonesty is *

I called them to tell them my solar was not communicating and why is not working properly and producing enough power. I paid $299 just for them to tell me, it's not communicating. Really? Tell me something I font know. The tech didn't call before leaving like he said and a part that I mite need to communicate went from $500 to $2600. They said they would call me to help me out with a solution and I still haven't heard from them.

Kevin did a great job. I was given a link to access a person who would review Kevin's report with me. I called and the person was not ready. I'm still awaiting a return call from someone to go over the report on my system.

Carlos was very pleasant to deal with. He explained things and answered my questions.

The agent was very respectful and very professional. He explained everything to me so I could understand the process. I fully intend to hire this company. No pressure. When I asked about the price of replacing one of my pieces of my panel, he explained that he believed that the box that wasn't working was most likely under warranty and his company would contact the manufacturer. It's part of their service! I do recommend this company.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

“EnergyAid provides qualified, licensed, and affordable solar repair services…”

Its website also mentions licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Thumbtack, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
