Its one and two star share is 5 points above the typical installer in the Fort Worth area. Across Texas, 259 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Fort Worth area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. EWS Solar & Construction is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Had an appointment set and confirmed, took off from work to be at the house and nobody showed up or bothered letting me know they couldn’t make it. I will not be using this company for my solar battery install.

Worst contractor I have ever hired! After 5 months waiting for an electric pool heat pump, Energize with Sunrise abandoned the job when the permit expired. The job was never completed. I suspect that the electrical subcontractor that pulled the permit knew the EWS ran the wrong size wire for a 50-amp circuit and only buried the conduit 4” deep. By Texas state code, it should be 18”. If you have had work done by this company, I would encourage you to get the work inspected by a licensed electrician. Your life or you home could be in danger. I would report this company to the Better Business Bur

Joe at EWS Solar and Roofing is the go-to expert for all things solar. His deep understanding and exceptional skills make him the best source of information and guidance when considering solar energy. If you're thinking about making the switch, there's no better place to start than with joe and his team at EWS!

Early in 2022 I decided to install a 12 KW solar system on my property. I obtained batteries, solar panels and built a canopy structure for the solar array. I quickly found with solar systems, there are many considerations and …

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“ROOF?!? Protect your manufacturers warranty & make sure a licensed solar…”

  • Licensed

“warranty & make sure a licensed solar installer does your detach and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
