Its one and two star share is 4 points below the typical installer in Fort Worth. Across Texas, 399 of the 728 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 62 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

On the Texas ranking

No. 25 of the 215 rankable records in Texas →

Ordered by the share of one and two star reviews, weighted by how many reviews stand behind it. It ranks review records, not workmanship.

Every company we hold in Fort Worth, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in Fort Worth whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. North Texas Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

The Best possible service. Always friendly and always helpful.

I was almost scammed by Sun Run and had two men come to my door suggesting that they could save me some money on solar panels. They were renting a house down the street so they were very convenient. Then I found North Texas Solar, a locally owned and operated solar company with a good reputation and years of experience. Two days after I called for an appointment, Jake Wilburn came to my house. We walked the property and he explained that I could benefit from solar energy even with my trees. He told me honestly that I would need to keep certain branches trimmed back to get the full benefit. No

Great team, very quick to resolve issues I have had several times in the past.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“technical expertise. With our 25-year warranty, free estimates, and exceptional…”

  • Years in business

“the solar installation business for over 10 years prior to starting North Texas Solar…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, established and better business bureau, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on HomeAdvisor, the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
