Its one and two star share is 7 points above the typical installer in the Altamonte Springs area. Across Florida, 166 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 100 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Altamonte Springs area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★85%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Altamonte Springs area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Freedom Power is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Everything went wrong except for Installation!!! Right from the beginning with Permits all the way till date, the only thing that went well was the install. A complete communication breakdown from Freedom Solar. I had to call and e-mail multiple times to find out what's happening which was more frustrating than them letting me know. It's been about 3 months from the install, and still haven't received PTO with final inspection still pending at the moment. They are going at a snail's pace with no regards to finish this project. The promise was Nov/Dec from the sales person, which has been long

Order from anywhere else. They talk a good one when they’re selling you Solar panels but once you sign the communication is terrible and they don’t keep their word. You can’t get a return phone call from anyone and they messed up my AC because of their sloppy work. They’re trash and don’t even bother to tell you when the panels are online or give you the app to monitor the panels. Pick literally anyone else.

This place is the worst. Terrible customer service. Once you sign the contract they're useless. They don't return phone calls and they'll jump on here telling you to email customer service because they can't find your account and when you do they don't respond. Definitely don't get solar panels from them.

Before install everything was fine. After install, communication stopped. We had a broken panel, found during install, and was told it would be replaced in a few days. It was not. We had to have the city inspector fail us just to get them to come out. We "turned on" the solar on 12/12/25 and were told we were making power. We were not and It took 3wks for them to fix our powerwall/gateway so we could actually make power. The only person that we could get any communication from was the sales person. We requested to speak with management multiple times and have never heard from anyone. Oh, if yo

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • EPA certified

“services in Austin and Houston. As EPA-certified professionals, we ensure every job is…”

  • 24/7 availability

“Pro-level purification working 24/7 so your air stays clean without you…”

  • Years in business

“solar panels in the U.S.A. for over 10 years, which meet or exceed all industry…”

  • Licensed

“our experienced, certified, and licensed technicians provide reliable and…”

Its website also mentions financing, warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
