My experience with Solar Ray was a nightmare. I decided to go solar and quoted several companies, Solar Ray was right in the middle, but I decided to go with them because they are a local business here in Orlando, FL. What a huge mistake… everything was great throughout the selling and installation process, but my nightmare started last December when one on my inverters failed and stop working, tried to contact them, leaving voicemails for days and nobody got back to me. Finally, after a month of chasing them down in January they decided to stop by the house and check my inverter, came in, saw

Tried to reach the company for 2 months now. Finally spoke with one of the office members, in person, who stated they would call me back to schedule service. Waited another 2 weeks, with no callback. Giving up on Solar-Ray. System is only 3 years old, but the inverters have standing water inside. Update 11/12/25 After leaving this review I received a generic reply from the Solar Ray. The wanted to see what kind of service I required. Funny thing is that I left details on the voicemail and follow up emails. The person who was texting me , actually said they did not read my emails. They did say

It is 2 and half years after installing this equipment. Compare to other companies these equipment are little pricy. ( I spend $52000 for a 10KW system in 2023) All i can say is the solar production is still very good in Panasonic solar panels. In my January 2026 bill I had a carry forward balance of 200KWh which I should have been used in December for something. Except September and August, I have only paid $33 as my monthly electricity bill. I am happy at least my carbon footprint is low and I also got solar tax credit for the money I spent. However, I have to say that the installers did a t

Why They Are the Best Lightning-Fast Help: They did not make me wait. They jumped right on the problem the moment I called. Expert Fixes: Their technicians knew exactly what to do and solved the issue on the first try. Friendly Care: The staff treated me with great respect and kept me updated th

After COVID, we finally decided to install solar, even though solar prices were getting higher. Before choosing a company, I spent a lot of time researching different solar companies. Some had perfect 5-star reviews, but honestly, I found it hard to believe that every review was real. No company is perfect all the time. I first heard about Solar-Ray Inc from my neighbor. They had installed their system with Solar-Ray over five years earlier and had never had a problem. That gave me confidence. I checked the reviews and saw a few negative ones, but overall, most customers were very happy. That

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“PV Installation Company in Florida. Over 22 years of expertise in residential and…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
