  Avoid G1 Solar, or at least beware of their "Senior Project Managers"- They Don't Honor Their Promises I was promised a $500 referral bonus by G1 Solar (Specifically Marshall Childers) for referring someone to them. I referred a customer, and after months of follow-ups, nothing. The project manager we were working with kept putting it off and said he would pay, but a year later, I’m still getting ignored. Every text I send goes unanswered, and they’ve completely ghosted me. This is unprofessional, dishonest, and a waste of time. Don’t trust G1 Solar or their empty promises. *Sounds like since

  I want to share my experience with Solerro/G1sollar which claims to have the Gold Standard in Solar. I signed a contract with Solerro/G1Solar on 29-Oct-2024 to install 10 panels on the east facing roof and 17 panels on the south facing roof in IL. After installation I found out I had 8 on the east facing roof and 19 on the south facing roof. I had never approved any change order. I was not even notified that there would be a change. Not only that, it was the worst install I had seen in the entire neighborhood. Panels sticking out above the edge of the roof. No setbacks left as per the permit.

  Two sales representatives came to my house and they were incredibly pushy. Would not take no for an answer like literally at all! I tried to explain that we’re not in the position to make that kind of a commitment. After trying to say no several times they became extremely rude. I would not trust anyone or any company that promotes this kind behavior!

  The whole process was smooth start to finish. Marshall was great to deal with, no pressure approach, which I enjoyed compared to other solar sales reps. The install company was awesome, showed up early, installed quickly, and left without a trace of them being there. I would highly recommend to anyone! ** UPDATE- While the initial process and install was smooth, I’ve had a few follow up questions after. I’ve reached out to Marshall to schedule a simple five minute phone call, but apparently that is no longer an option. I’ve sent several texts and received no response **

  Working with G1 Solar was so easy and painless. Marshall did a great job of explaining the In's & Outs of Solar, what to look for when selecting panels, was checking in during the install, and always available whenever I had questions. My Project Manager Tove was so great at ensuring a smooth install process and coordinating between all the partners. She explained exactly when and who would show up, when I did/didn't need to be there, and what the install teams would need from me. Overall working with G1 was awesome and I would definitely recommend both Marshall and Tove!
