EGT Solar

Each mark is one company we hold in the Boise area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. EGT Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Don’t believe when they try to sell you that you won’t have a power bill!!! BS! I have 56 panels With a 3400 square-foot home and 1000 square-foot shop and still haven’t had under $100 bill. Plus the $600 bill for the solar system. I’m trying to figure out where the savings is?? Exclamation exclamation. Just another smoke and mirrors show! So the investment for the house is not worth it. I couldn’t use $700 electric every month if I had everything running at one time.

Technically/mechanically they did good work with a few small hiccups that they were able to get past with some troubleshooting. Customer service on the other hand was hit and miss, they left a mess behind, they forgot paperwork that was needed to pass city inspection... not really thrilled with how the team responded to their issues.

"I had a fantastic experience with EGT Solar in Meridian, Idaho. From the start, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions, which was crucial since I have medical equipment that needs constant power during outages. I’ve always been intrigued by solar, and after considering generators, I realized solar was the best solution for reliable backup power for my situation. EGT took the time to walk me through every detail, even visiting my home for the initial bid and a second home visit to answer my follow up questions. No pressure sales, just plain up front explanations. I now feel confid

I have an issue with my system. Blue Raven originally installed the system but as they are now headquartered in Utah, they no longer care to send anyone to Idaho to fix problems. Austin, with locally based EGT, took to the time to remotely look at my system and explain what was happening in plain English. From my initial call to him, he followed up to get more information and to see how his company might be able to help. My circumstances won't allow for the immediate system repair, but when the time comes, Austin will be the one to call. That level of service is hard to find and I appreciate A

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Warranty

“financing Ten-year workmanship warranty on all projects $600 Visa Prepaid…”

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
