Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Boise area. Across Idaho, 25 of the 50 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 53 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Boise area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Tiger Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Tiger Solar provided amazing service and were incredibly helpful in making sure I understood the whole solar process from my first contact with them to the actual installation. Jesse answered all of my questions quickly and they handled all permitting and coordination with all of the local departments to make sure it was a fully turnkey installation. A friend went with another company to install solar on the same timeline as ours, and the ease of the process with Tiger Solar was in stark contrast with the other company where my friend had to do all of the leg work with permitting and coordinat

I talked to a lot of solar companies before picking one; Tiger stood out as one of only a couple companies where the project manager's expertise was exceedingly clear during our conversations. They also gave a competitive price. Another factor that led to me choosing Tiger was that all the work was done by Tiger employees, unlike some other solar companies that contract out all the work so you don't know who's actually working on your project. During the installation, Tiger's project manager and the installers were professional and efficient; I enjoyed interacting with them and they did high-q

Tiger Solar did an excellent job on our solar installation. Everything about the project was professionally done, and we were kept informed step by step as the work was done. Power savings have fully met our expectations and the system works very well.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“repair costs are based on applicable warranty coverage, the price of replacement…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
