The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 21 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Green Alternatives installed a solar system at our home. Everything was going great and in good time until they stopped showing up, my panels sat not hooked up for 2-3 months. I just watched the sun beat on them thinking about how much energy was not being collected. Once they finally got them all hooked up, the service provided after getting paid for the job has completely stopped. They do not return phone calls and any help I have needed with the inverter, I have had to reach out to the manufacturer to get help on.

We are a medium sized electrical contractor in West Central IN. We have tried to do business with GAI on several occasion and can not get any real effective communication or support from them. This company is not ready for prime time. *** EDIT TO ADD *** GAI did eventually get back with us and provided a proposal that was well thought out.

Very professional team with a high degree of attention to detail. Will build a system to your exact needs. Excellent communication throughout the entire process, and they stand behind their work after it is finished. Highly recommend!

GAI is a top tier company with top tier people. Ownership and leadership are best in class. It's also rare to find a solar company that's custom solution-driven rather than product driven. They'll build what optimizes YOUR needs vs trying to fit your needs to a specific single product.

The Green Alternatives team is fantastic! Working with Noelle, Cindy and team is always a pleasure. Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend working with GAI!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions established and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
