Its one and two star share is 14 points above the typical installer in Eugene. Across Oregon, 15 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 22 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I bought a kit from home Depot’s and it came fast from them but I have sent two questions about my controller and never got any response form grape solar

I've made 3 purchases for expandable solar kits. The first was for 2 200w kits. The second was for 2 expansion panels. 600w divided into 2 separate systems, each with thier own controller and battery bank. Both controllers melted, one became destroyed. Ordered replacement for one. Three weeks ago I ordered 2 200w kits. Those kits did not come with connectors. Today I was messaged from my off grid friends I bought and installed the panels for, that another controller melted down. I have decades of experience installing 12-24v car and RV DC electrical and 115-230v AC. I followed the Grape Solar

You need to automatically reject their shippement of solar panels if you see that they place anything on the panels during shipping. I received mine with 10 small boxes of bolts and other mounting bracket that they place directly on the panels with only a thin piece of cardboard for protection, now the wont replace several shatted panels because i didnt notice that they were broken til after they were off the truck. They knowingly shipped them with hardware on the panels and expected me to be aware of damages without opened the packages while still on the moving truck. BUYER BEWARE.

Excellent product and amazing customer service have had there panels and charge controller for 5 years runs perfectly still. Had a hook up snag when transferring to a new van and the customer service person helped me trouble shoot for an hour.

On a Friday afternoon they were able to source a few important cables I needed, and also helped me with several troubleshooting tips, saved my weekend camping. Excellent service!

Bought 600w system through Lowe’s. We live off grid in the crown of Maine. Joshua at Grape Solar has been excellent to guide us through the install. We can run refrigerator phones and lights. Grape Solar Beats the $20,000 power company wanted plus monthly charges. We are very happy. Incredible customer service!!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“of the American dream. Ocean has over 25 years of global electronic manufacturing…”

Its website also mentions warranty, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram, Facebook and X. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
