Its one and two star share is 40 points above the typical installer in Louisiana. Across Louisiana, 4 of the 47 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 25 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Louisiana, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★100%

Each mark is one company we hold in Louisiana whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Groundup Solar & Electrical is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

They installed solar panels on my home 7 months ago and they still haven't been turned on. They have no relationship with Entergy so they can't get people out to inspect the system. If they do get an inspector to come out your system is not up to code. Unless you want a company to charge you tens of thousands of dollars for a system that probably won't get turned on for a year go elsewhere.

Had my panels installed in February. The contractor let us know one panel was damaged. It took nearly 4 months to get someone out here to replace it. I have not noticed a change in my light bill. So technically, I have 2 light bills. So many people have asked about the panels but I tell them its a waste of money.

We had additional solar panels installed on our roof, and the whole process was smooth and professional. As a bonus, we received a free battery, which made the upgrade an even better value. The team was knowledgeable, efficient, and answered all of our questions. We're very happy with the installation and would definitely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

I'm really happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roofing or HVAC work. Thanks again for making the whole process so easy!

Elsewhere

  • Google also lists this company under electrical and roofing. A company that does both roofing and solar can handle the roof work a panel install often needs.
  • It is also reviewed on Angi and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Kenner is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
