Its one and two star share is 14 points above the typical installer in the Clackamas area. Across Oregon, 6 of the 106 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 32 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Clackamas area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★65%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Clackamas area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Imagine Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Do NOT hire this company! Imagine Energy is the worst contractor I've ever had the displeasure of working with. They performed the job incorrectly, ignoring both the signed contract and the permits. Specifically, they connected our solar system to the wrong electrical meter on our building. While they eventually set it up correctly (after WE notified them of the issue), this resulted in a 6 month delay. The staff were uncommunicative and uninformed on the project - there was no clear project management whatsoever. We asked for a project timeline and building use schedule multiple times and wer

Imagine installed a solar system onto a new roof on this house some 2.5 years before I bought it. The roof started dripping water in January and I tried to contact them about fixing it. Contacting them took two days (+ weekend) of calling and leaving messages before I finally went down there in person and spoke to someone. From then on we mostly emailed, but when I did call they literally never picked up when I pressed 3 for service, and only intermittently when I pressed 1 for sales. Emails were sometimes replied to same day, but sometimes only after 2, 3, or 5 days or just ignored completely

Our inverter stopped working and Imagine offered to replace it at our cost. They never provided the requested quote so we got another company to come out. They stated our inverter was under warranty which Imagine never informed us of. Manufacturer informed us our inverter warranty was voided by Imagine's incorrect installation. Even when we were going to be paying the company was not very responsive. We made them aware of their incorrect installation and our voided warranty in September of 2023 and still no resolution. Company seldom responds and always says they are working on some solution f

I had a very poor exprience with sales, but received assurances, an appology and a detailed reply from their OPS Director that these were very outlyier miscommunications and do not represent their values or standards they strive to hold themselves to. While I will not chose to work with this business, my background is engineering and manufacturing and appreciate the reply of this business leader. This shows character and professionalism. Thanks.

I really have appreciated all the folk involved in my solar installation project. While it felt odd to sign my contracts and make my payments via online technology, people DID show up to install the equipment, do inspections (county, energy trust, and the utility). Pat came by to do the final walk through and show me all the buttons and breakers. I want to emphasize the quality of the interactions with each person, especially the guys doing the install.

We needed electricity in one of our WrenOak Vineyard outbuildings and decided to put in an off-grid solar electrical system. Our electrician recommended Imagine Energy. The whole process was excellent from start to finish. Every member of the crew was first rate and easy to work with. We now have electricity for our lights, fans, internet, EV charger... I could not be happier with "Imagine Energy" and have recommended them to friends and colleagues.

Excellent company and very responsive to issues as they come up. I chose them over 5 companies that I received bids from.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“Altogether our leadership team has over 60 years of solar experience. What does that…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
