Its one and two star share is 7 points above the typical installer in Melbourne. Across Florida, 173 of the 675 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 18 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Melbourne, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★35%

Each mark is one company we hold in Melbourne whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. J&B Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Don’t waste your time with these guys. There are tons of other options. If you’re looking to be berated, then this might be your preference. The owner is impossible to speak to. He will schedule meetings with you, and not show up. My staff can attest to this. He almost always spoke to them in a hostile tone over the phone and via email. Instead of being a team player, it felt more like bullying. Take your time and money somewhere else. You deserve so much better!

J&B Solar, along with Roncelli, Inc., made it super easy to plan and fly for this project!

Great People to work with in the office as well as producing top tier work in the field

What an absolute incredible company! From dealing with the amazing office staff to the hard workers out in the field. You can tell the owner takes pride in this company and in his employees. I wish I could give J&B more then five stars!

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
