Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Illinois. Across Illinois, 104 of the 183 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 6 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Brian has always been responsive. He got out system to work after our original company left is in a mess. He's been out to our house several times: inspecting our system, installing placards on our system enabling our power company to turn it on, hooking up our solar power application and more. We appreciate all his assistance. Thanks

Low pressure salespeople. Provided lots of information to help make the decision. Dealt with HOA for us. Easy, quick installation. Huge energy savings.

I’m glad I use Legacy Farm solar to do my solar panels and hook me up a generator they are very informational. If you don’t understand something just talk to Brian he will definitely make sure you do. The installers were very good. Also they went above and beyond to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting and made sure that the solar panels were placed where I wanted down they also called and checked to make sure that I was happy with the installation and everything was working properly. Also they can monitor what my solar panels are doing. I am glad I got legacy farm solar to do my solar

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“our customers a 5 year workmanship warranty, 25 year inverter warranty, 10 year…”

  • 24/7 availability

“power for your home or business 24/7 with a solar battery backup Solar…”

Its website also mentions financing, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook and Instagram. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Carlinville is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
