Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in Baltimore. Across Maryland, 44 of the 111 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 440 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I really wanted to give a good review, but things have not aligned with what was promised during the sales phase. First, I was promised that the panels were compatible for recharging my electric generators. Turns out that was false and I didn't find out until during my installation, so I let that go. Second, 6 months after installation, the panels stopped working. I didn't notice the outage until 2 weeks passed, even though I was promised that they continuously monitor the system for outages. Turns out, monitoring only happens once a month, and the day they stopped working was conveniently 4 d

We had our solar panels installed by Lumina Solar in November 2025, and after experiencing our first summer with the system, we have been disappointed with the overall experience and the performance of our system. Our experience with our sales advisor was very disappointing. Communication was consistently poor, with slow responses to emails and multiple occasions where we had to contact other employees to find out why our sales advisor was not responding. Looking back, this should have been a clear warning sign of the issues we would encounter throughout the project. On a positive note, I woul

"Approximate Completion Date: 150 Days from Contract Signing" Well, that came and went in April, and as of writing this it's June 4 and I'm still potentially a month away from having a solar system that I can turn on. I signed on November 17, Lumina sat on my (3 hour) install until April 17 and cost me $15,000 in remibursement from the state, seven months of loan payments and higher utility bills. I didn't expect this to be completed in a few weeks, but the contract I signed isn't worth the paper it's written on. Communication was pretty abyssmal, I had to initiate contact for any kind of an u

I signed the contract in June 2025. Got all permit approvals by Oct 2025. Didn't get scheduled for install until late Jan 2026. I got a fairly large 32.2kw system and 3 Tesla Powerwall 3s. The install for the solar piece took around 6 days. Lumina has been working on the Powerwalls now since early Feb 2026 and they are still not in service as of the day of this review 5/9/2026. Also only about 8 to 10 of the microinverters for the 70 panels report in the Enphase enlighten app. 30 of the 70 microinverters are not even showing up in the app. I have had PTO approval since 4/23/26. However I am st

I highly recommend Lumina Solar, Gabriel Shabtai was my solar consultant. He was very patient as I wrapped my head around my solar lease, how many panels were needed, understanding the state's process, timeliness, installation, and grants. He was always available to answer questions and tweak our system so that we felt sure the system would cover our needs. He was a pleasure to work with.

The process felt very comfortable from the sale all the way through the install. Every team took the time to explain each step, and completed them efficiently. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience with the help of Ali Sanders of Lumina solar. Her presentation of the survey of my house as it relates to a solar system was impressive and informative. Incredible customer service is hard to come by these days but Lumina Solar has it in every phase of their operation.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions financing, insured and licensed, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    Elsewhere

    • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
    • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
