Its one and two star share is 1 point above the typical installer in Illinois. Across Illinois, 87 of the 183 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 35 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Called for information because I was interested in his "expertise" in tying a solar to a small wind application. He answered my call and before I could even explain that, he told me not to buy it!! Interrupted me and said he didn't want to talk to me. Then hung up.Very rude. Will not reccomend using this person. Poor customer service!

We are very happy with our experience with Paul and Jacqueline at Magitek! We’ve been considering solar for awhile but were not convinced by pitches from other companies. Paul was clearly very honest from our first conversation and his experience and professionalism was evident throughout the process. Jacqueline was very helpful with the procedural side of things and consistently kept us up to date with everything. We are very happy customers. Thank you!

I called numerous solar installers, both big and small companies. Paul and Magitek were the only ones to best describe the process and what I was receiving. In the end I chose Paul to install my 25kw solar array system. I like how he does directional boring to run conduit under ground from my house to the polebarn where the array was placed. I didnt want the grass all dug up for this process. I'm Soo glad no more 450+ dollar heating bills! Thanks Magitek!

If you’re pondering Solar and it seems overwhelming dealing with Permits, ComEd, and State and Federal incentives etc., work with Jackie and Paul at Magitek. The entire process was explained and handled expertly for us. They both provided a personal touch that makes you feel comfortable with the process. Paul is very knowledgeable and straight forward regarding solar installs and made sure he met our needs. Jackie coordinated and handled all the schedules and paperwork while keeping us informed through the entire process. The system (30 Panels) was installed ahead of schedule. In less than 6 w

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. McHenry is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
