Its one and two star share is 11 points above the typical installer in Escondido. Across California, 311 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.
The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 44 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

I live in the Escondido area and have been deciding on whether I should invest in Solar, so I have been going to different companies to understand more in person because over the phone doesn’t help me. I was astonished walking into the business establishment from the get-go. I could hear what I assume is a woman in a high position repeatedly shushing and angrily chastising the receptionist. How awful! I debated leaving this review, but this incident definitely stopped me from supporting this business! She needs to at least be reprimanded! That is no way to talk to your workers (or people for t

I called Palomar Roofing & Solar to get an estimate on a new roof. I also need to be working with a solar company (in the event of issues) and they were recommended by Enphase my solar monitoring company. The person who took my information said the scheduler would contact me. When I asked when, she said she didn’t know. That was 6 days ago, and I haven’t heard from anyone. Since I haven’t been given the common courtesy of a response, I am giving them 1 star. I hope you have better luck than I did. After all, isn’t part of doing business responding to potential customers?

Sales person called 2 days after my inquiry. (a sign they are too busy or not interested) Then Instead of asking what I needed he told me what he wanted to sell me. He insisted I needed a new roof without even looking at it. I believe in ad on sales but this guy was rude. Being in sales for 40 years and hired and trained hundreds of sales people I thought the goal was to fill the customers needs not the company’s needs. I was referred to Palomar by a friend but now I am very disappointed. I will not use them for any of my houses nor refer them.

We had a great experience with this company! We had contemplated getting solar for a few years and never found a company we really trusted. We saw one of their trucks driving through Temecula and decided to give them a call - best decision! They gave us a very fair quote compared to the five others we received, and helped us repair our 30 year old roof before solar installation. They are not pushy or call you 50x a week. They are honest, fair and very quick, actually! Adam (cofounder) was always available for any questions we had and kept us in the loop every step of the way. Jesus and Noel fr

Definitely the right solar provider. I had a feeling from the onset that this company was the way to go and working with Bryce sealed the deal. He was very patient and informative and even reviewed other estimates from other providers. He answered my questions and then some. The recommendation to re do the roof at the onset was not just a sales tactic and I’m glad we listened. Bryce and team were exceptional to work with and I highly recommend him and Palomar Solar.

Wow. Just wow... The lengths Bryce from Palomar Solar went through to help me goes beyond comprehension. My husband passed recently and I had to go on social security. My electric bill has been accruing to a past due amount beyond control, and I was recommended to talk to Bryce by a friend of mine. He came to my house, called the utility for me, and found out that when I switched the bill to my name I lost my care discount. He got me reenrolled in care again but didn't stop there. He then found 2 payment assistance programs that I might be eligible for to help me pay my past due amount of $400

What the company says about itself
Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.
Warranty
“Solar Ltd. provides a full 10 year warranty on our labor and workmanship. Palomar…”
Its website also mentions established, years in business, better business bureau, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.
Elsewhere
- It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
- It posts on X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
