Its one and two star share is 26 points above the typical installer in Escondido. Across California, 146 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 16 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

2 years ago I purchased a replacement solar system for my pool because I had a new roof installed and thought it best to start new. Shortly after, my ceiling in my bedroom started leaking water. It was the solar system that was installed faulty. They fixed the roof, I took care of ceiling myself. Now, a year later, 4 of the couplings failed and were leaking off the roof. I called for replacement of the faulty couplings, which obviously aren’t made to hold up more than 2 years. First they didn’t return my call so I called back. Then I was quoted $259 for someone to come look at couplings. I was

These guys tried to poach my solar permit by sending a text to my elderly customer that looked like a bill. If they had fallen for it they would have unknowingly switched companies. The customer luckily called me concerned we sent them a bill they didn’t know about. Terrible unethical business practice.

I spoke to Lisa on the phone because I need them to remove 2 of the thermal panels that her company installed for some roof repair work. She quoted me on the phone and promised to email a formal quote to me but she never did. Then my husband contacted her and she quoted him double the price! Then she kept calling me but I refused to pick up because they are dishonest and push you to agree to have them do the job and then charge whatever they want to! I agree with the other 1 star reviews. Performance solar is unprofessional, greedy and cherry pick their work. Stay away from them!

These guys were amazing!!! Called Monday, they said it would be a week..... Well... Its Wednesday and the job is done!! No BS... Exactly what they said is what I got. It would be 10 stars if they had it!!! Thank you Performance Solar Inc. !!

As a Pool service professional, I only allign myself with companies that work as hard as I do. Dennis and his team are my go-to vendor for Solar. Performance Solar treats my customers the way I would...professional and fast, at a fair price.

Have had my pool solar for 15 years and when I’ve had a need for help, they’re here the next day. They are very responsive and professional. I would highly recommend them

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Licensed

Its website also mentions warranty and free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
