Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Wisconsin. Across Wisconsin, 28 of the 58 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in Wisconsin, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★75%

Each mark is one company we hold in Wisconsin whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Photovoltaic Systems LLC is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

Jim and his crew installed our 9.6kw off grid PV system 2 years ago and the whole process has been wonderful. His pricing, timeline, education- for me, and ongoing support have been better than hoped by far. I recommend him to everyone I know. The equipment is state of the art, and the system works flawlessly.

He knows what he is doing and good at it. It is his work, his hobby and passion.

We had a 20 KW system (75 solar panels) install by Photovoltaic Systems. Our experience with Jim was amazing. Jim and his staff are experts in all things solar and the installation process went better than I could have imagined. Two years later we have not had a single issue and our system produces clean energy that powers my house and homes around me. I highly recommend Photovoltaic Systems to anybody who wants clean, renewable energy (that should be everybody). You cannot beat this company.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
