  I contacted Rt 66 Solar a week ago and set up a meeting to see about getting solar installed on my house. I actually have three houses that I am interested in getting solar for. They decided this morning that they would not even look into getting solar for me. They canceled the meeting. Saying it is not advantageous for me. I'm sorry a bill for $1000 in electric will benefit from solar. They wasted a week of my time. Do not give them any of your time. Find a different company who will actually do the work.

  We were set up to have solar panels installed via ILSFA in the summer of 25. After not hearing from Route 66 for several weeks, I called and asked for an update. Was told that Trump's Big Beautiful Bill canceled the program. I did some research to learn that while the BBB canceled federal programs, it did not cancel ILSFA. I attempted to contact Route 66 about this confusion, but message was never returned. Further digging showed that Route 66 was no longer an approved ILSFA vendor.   We have had one of the worst experiences ever with Route 66 Solar. Customer service is non existent. Everything we were told about the loan and the process was incorrect, this was told to us by the bank who processed the loan. When I called the owner Scott about it he continued to yell at my husband and I and would not listen to us or our questions and concerns. We had a panel go out within 2 weeks of install and it took 3 weeks to get it replaced because they didn’t want to pay for the replacement. I do not recommend this company at all.

  We got panels put in October ‘25. We have had some issues from solar panels not producing power randomly or our batteries not storing power correctly. Route 66 has helped us with these but here is where our frustration comes in. Their ads come through on my TV and I hear things about always talking to the owner(s) and welcoming service. Unfortunately, this has NOT been our situation whatsoever. Every time we call we get a call service who loves to tell us that they will send the message and get us a call back. We will go days without hearing from anyone. Then we call back again and once again

  The people I have worked with on our solar project have been wonderful. The installing crew were polite and set to work as soon as they got to our home. The system was set up and completed same day (our system is not as big as some). We were given an app that we could use to see how much power we are generating and using. The people in the office have been excellent to work with - available within a reasonable time, able to answer all my questions as they come up, and take care of the majority of the required paperwork to complete our installation and ongoing system. We are not quite finished
