Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 49 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Not often you can still find a company that will advise you to go elsewhere to accomplish what you need to do. Rather than buying an expensive set up from SDSolar install, they advised on a far cheaper solution, cutting themselves from a potential big profit.

The thing I appreciated most was the honesty. The consultant didn’t promise impossible savings or pressure us into a giant system we didn’t need. He reviewed our utility bills carefully and recommended something realistic for our house size and energy use. Installation happened during a rainy week, so scheduling shifted slightly, but communication remained consistent the whole time. The workers were polite and even took extra care around our flower beds near the garage. One afternoon they noticed my package sitting near the driveway and moved it under cover before rain started. Absolutely top-notch from start to finish. A+ We are new to the area, so we didn't have much energy usage history with SDGE for Bruce to go on. He used some rough estimates based on our previous home, he listened to us and our estimates of our possible usage here in CA, and he designed a system that was carefully thought out and reasonably sized, and that ended up very closely matching our energy needs. He mentioned some options for upgrades in the future (batteries, more panels if we needed more), but every conversation was about what would work best for us, and there was never any pressure t

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“your roof plus warranty info and easy financing options all included. Just click free…”
  • Warranty

“panels & inverters with a 25 year warranty. We are different by design because…”
  • Bonded

“new American made SolarMount 100% bonded racking system for safety combined…”

Its website also mentions established and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. National City is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
