Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in Connecticut. Across Connecticut, 55 of the 112 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 36 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Mark and his team are fantastic, and I can’t recommend them enough. Mark is very experienced and professional, and it was an easy decision to go with him over the larger solar installers.

Mark was great. We were looking into getting a solar electric system and he walked us through the whole process. Not only does he understand the engineering, he knows the regulation hoops that you have to go through. He saw that it was not going to make financial sense for our situation and he explained it all. We ended up not getting the solar based on his advise. The salesman from another solar installer kept trying after we saw it would cost too much. Thanks for your help! -Steve

Mark was a great partner getting solar installed. He was great at helping me figure out which trees we would need to remove for getting the most sunlight, and was super patient as we figured out whether solar was the best option for us. He wasn't pushy about making the sale, and his price was easily $5-10k lower than the large solar companies. If you are looking to buy instead of lease solar panels (which is a better option if you can afford it upfront), Smith Electric is definitely the way to go.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    • Google also lists this company under electrical.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Bridgeport is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
