Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in the Lowell area. Across Massachusetts, 80 of the 198 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 84 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Lowell area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar On Earth is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I signed up for Solar on Earth for my business on January 9, 2025. Today, July 10, 2025, I received a call letting me know that I will be enrolled in getting solar once the solar farm is up and running in OCTOBER. What kind of business operates like this? I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau

The local Rep appeared to be the most impatient man I ever met. He literally flagged me down when I was hauling a full load of manure on US 11. Then parked in front of me when another vehicle was approaching so there was no way I could go around. I had all I could do to get stopped and I was 1 ft from his back van door. He never acknowledged his mistake and proceeded to ask why I wasn't signed up anymore.

Spoke to my 17yr old in my absence and allowed her to make changes in my name on MY bill. Super angry!

Working with Solar on Earth was an exceptional experience. I was in need of new batteries for my off-grid house, and I was switching to lithuim from lead acid. When I first attempted to contact SOE, an actual human picked up, Nathan, and he was clearly knowledgeable about the topic, answering all my questions. As a bonus, he showed real interest in my situation, asking many questions about my set up and needs. The biggest benefit, though was the price that he offered me...$2000 less than any other retailer I spoke with, and even $500 less than the cheapest internet deal. He explained to me tha

I am extremely impressed with the customer service I have received from Dawn Galgay. She is top shelf! Thank you!!

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

“our clients for your support and our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau! Sign…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
