Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Maine. Across Maine, 24 of the 43 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 7 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Maine whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Power New England is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

After careful review of several roof solar installers I highly recommend Solar Power New England with CEO Andrew Robitaille. Here are the reasons: Equipment: Solar Panels: Among the most efficient available rated at 430 watts per panel. The panels are made in the US ..NOT CHINA. Each panel is equipped to individual inverters so that partial shading has a minimal effect. The panels are Solfab SIL-430-QD. Inverters: As mentioned each panel as an individual inverter that changes to voltage to household voltage and automatically continually adjust to a maximum power output depending on sun output.

I was referred to Solar Power New England by a family friend and was pleased with the overall process. The install took around 3 weeks and Andrew was helpful in walking me through the financing & tax credits options. Would highly recommend working with them!

Solar Power New England installed our solar panels on our roof. They were very responsive, came to our house when they said they would come and installed a quality product. The job was completed in a timely fashion and they cleaned up the work area after every work day. We are pleased with our solar installation.

What reviewers keep mentioning

  • quality product 2

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp and the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Windham is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
