Its one and two star share is 6 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 500 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 56 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

What reviewers said

Steve, the owner of Solar Pro, is one of the most patient, meticulous, and thorough contractors I have worked with. He is always open to thoroughly explaining the process, technology, and options in a way that is easy to understand, without ever making you feel rushed or pressured. Steve and his team are highly organized, communicative, and detail-oriented. They took the time to design a system tailored to our needs and ensured everything was done correctly . What sets Solar Pro apart is their integrity and commitment to doing things right. Steve is genuinely invested in his clients and stands

Solar Pro came on time and did an excellent job. The building inspector seemed very impressed with their work. The system has been up and running for about 3 months and even in the winter months is producing significant power. We are very pleased. Solar pro’s price was competitive and the quality seems excellent. I highly recommend.

Solar pro was the 3rd company we paired with to get our project done, wish they were the first and only one. Great service quickly assisted us to finish our projected, very professional.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. San Mateo is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
