Solar Services

Each mark is one company we hold in Virginia Beach whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Solar Services is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

We called Solar Services to come to our home to replace and update a solar thermal system that they originally installed for us in 2009 or 2010. They came the 3 hour drive to our home and were prompt and professional in starting and communicating with the job. We expected a new solar thermal water heater with the work. They almost completed the installation when I asked the year on the label on the water heater tank. The label stated 2015. Solar Services was installing a 7 year old water heater (unused and warehoused) and professed that the water heater was new. I spoke with Arthur on the phon

I couldn't even get to a possible business interaction(aka. I called and tried to speak to a manager within the company and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude). I asked to speak to management and she threw some stuff in my face about how it's an employee owned company and she was an officer blah blah blah...I work with solar companies all over the nation not only helping solar companies make use(and make money) off of old and broken equipment but I also give them an opportunity to help their communities homeless/in need with solar powered solutions to every day power needs. Multiple problems with my roof leaking. Never been the same since. I also have a neighbor down the road who has had the same issue from their install and other problems. In my opinion, these panels should never be installed on a roof unless you want to ruin the integrity of your shingles/rafters and possibly void your homeowners warranty!!

Amazing customer service and support! Hands down best company I have ever had the pleasure of welcoming into my home. Extremely knowledgeable, on time, and flawless work while also being fast and efficient! Will be reaching out again to have more work done in the future without a doubt, and will be referring others as well!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Warranty

“Easy to use and has a 12-year warranty. You just set the desired temperature…”

• Years in business

“We have been installing solar for over 30 years. We’ve been standing behind our work…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
• It posts on Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
