Its one and two star share is 3 points below the typical installer in Denver. Across Colorado, 122 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 65 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Solar Wave designed and installed the solar system for our new house in Louisville CO. Our design goal was Net Zero operation with a battery backup to reduce the impact of any power outage. From start to finish the process was very transparent. In design, consideration was given to the builder’s detailed energy model, and the impact of adjacent trees and buildings. Their modeling suggested we would be very close to the Net Zero goal. The system would offset approximately 90% of our projected energy needs. Three options for the system were presented. They clearly outlined the pros and cons of e

Steven and folks at Solar Wave did a great job of assessing our backup power needs and explained how a Tesla battery would work for us. We wanted backup battery power for a medical reason and Steven worked with Xcel to obtain a $10k medical rebate. The battery powers our house reliability whenever Xcel shuts down the grid. Very pleased with battery vs a generator and with the Solar Wave company! HWK

For my Tesla 3 battery backup, everything was perfect - from the first contact to the installation and follow up. Pricing was competitive and Steve was great to work with. His installers were top notch and provided great customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Solar Wave for your solar or battery backup systems.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“25-year equipment & workmanship warranty Requires upfront capital or solar…”
  • Bonded

“across Google reviews 0 % Licensed, bonded & insured in Colorado Five-star…”
  • Insured

    “25-year warranties Licensed & insured Certified, accredited & top-rated…”
  • Licensed

    “NABCEP-certified 25-year warranties Licensed & insured Certified, accredited…”

Its website also mentions family owned and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
