Its one and two star share is 3 points above the typical installer in Denver. Across Colorado, 86 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 436 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

After 11 months I still do not have a functional system and Tesla support claims the system was installed completely wrong. Find another installer. These folks don't seem to know what they're doing.

OMG Don't use them!! The summer 2025 I signed a contract with smart wave solar and was told that the solar panels could go on my barn which has a large South facing roof, and I was told the project would be finished by December 31 for the tax credit. After signing the contract I was then told that they could not place the panels where we had agreed and they would have to go on the roof of the house with most of the panels facing either East or West decrease in the efficiency of the system by approximately 15%. They did not have the project installed by December 31, but sent me a letter anyway

Several phone calls and emails with tech support over several weeks to reconnect our system, and none of them simply mentioned that the unit installed is NOT capable of the reset process they kept telling me to do. Sent me the (false) process on email. Directed me to the website with the (wrong) directions. Naturally it didn't work. I paid to have a tech come out and look, earliest availability was weeks away. *Two times* they cancelled at the last minute and rescheduled for over a month later. When the techs finally came it was a three-minute fix, and they told me "oh yeah, that wouldn't work

I'm writing this review in hopes that I can get some traction on my solar project. Not only has there been a lot of delays (panels were installed 5 months ago and still not operational), but after a failed inspection we needed to adjust the electrical setup at my house. This has left me without an A/C. Not an issue while the temps are still comfortable but seeing how frequent delays are, I'll be lucky if I have an A/C by June much less an operational solar system. 5/22 Update: It's been a month and we still don't have an operational system nor do we have A/C. 7/26 Update: We've spoken to the C

I chose Smart Solar at my house couple of years back and they have been very proactive in keeping me informed about the process during the installation and setup. I had issue with my panel and they are able to co-ordinate all the logistics to fix the problem. Thanks to Medaly for keeping me updated every step of the way.

From the sales to the installation, this Smart Wave Solar is top notch. The sales process with Steve Michels was easy. He stepped us through the myriad of forms and fielded our frequent questions. The installation team, coordinated by Joriel, moved us along rapidly. And when we had minor glitches, they were always there for us. Our installation functions as we had hoped, and we are happy saving emissions and money while having reliable power.

I'm really happy with Smart Wave Solar. They installed our system a couple of years ago, but in July our Powerwall stopped working. The panels were still doing their job, but the battery was offline so our mitigation during the peak hours was impacted. They did a full replacement. It was still under warranty, and the team is always professional and most importantly, they communicate clearly and often. Sheila in customer service was fantastic with text and email updates so I knew what was happening when. Ian and the rest of the installer team was professional and completed their work quickly an

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“appeal! Solar Energy with a 25-Year Warranty Enjoy total peace of mind as you…”

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
