Its one and two star share is 2 points below the typical installer in Denver. Across Colorado, 121 of the 216 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 152 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

After exchanging a number of emails with ARE over the course of a month trying to find a solar solution that best fit my home, they decided that I wasn't worth their time anymore: "I simply no longer have time for this. I respectfully withdraw ARE Solar from consideration for your potential solar project." During our email conversations, I asked reasonable questions about a few Sol-Ark and SMA inverter options and system configurations. They rarely read my whole email and mostly gave me half-baked one sentence answers that were usually wrong or poorly researched. I was promised several times t

Wow! These sun wranglers are stud muffins! Super clean and efficient install. That Griffindor character was very calm and had a great sense of humor. And Action Jackson was super smooth to deal with. Thanks again guys!

Just got my system (panels and Powerwall 3) up and running! The team at ARE was awesome to work with and did a great job, especially considering I have stone-coated steel shingles. They took care of everything. a+ job!

ARE Solar seems to do things differently. Everything is handled in-house, and their emphasis on education and customer service is refreshing to see in the solar industry.

Reviewer names are not published here. Negative reviews are shown first because they are the ones a listing hides, not because they are more representative.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Financing

“also help you navigate incentives and financing options, so the numbers work from day one and…”
  • Warranty

“decades of experience and a lifetime warranty, we’re here when you need us.”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
