Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in California. Across California, 662 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Solar Works' communication style was excellent. We were very pleased with how quickly Solar Works responded, met with us on site, answered all follow up questions, and informed us of all decisions. The Solar Works' installation crew was courteous, professional, and welcomed all questions. They kept the site clean and were respectful of being quiet. Solar Works did an amazing presentation walking us through the equipment, application, and what to expect next. They handled the PGE portion (permit and PTO) without any delay, exceeding our expectations.

This was the third time that I have worked with Solar Works on a major project, so I knew what to expect from such an outstanding company. Solar Works performed my original solar system installation some 20 years ago, as well as a solar panel replacement a few years ago as part of a settlement with the manufacturer. In fact, I would have received free installation from the solar contractor recommended in the settlement, but I chose to pay out of pocket to have Solar Works perform the work instead so that everything would be done to the highest standards. Though I expect this system to last ano

Solar Works are simply awesome! They installed our solar panels about 10 years ago and recently came to check on us because they saw that our inverters did not report to their system. They came by twice for no charge to install connection device and make sure that the production is good intended. It was very easy to communicate with them, and I feel they simply stand up to the best standard of business service. If you’re looking for a to install solar system/ battery or electric solutions you don’t need to think twice. I highly recommend Solar works.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on ConsumerAffairs. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. Windsor is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
