If you want an installer that respects manufacturer guidelines and protects your investment, look elsewhere. During a recent job, SolarFlair’s installers walked directly on the solar panels (see attached photos) and dropped heavy tools on them. The manufacturer's installation manual explicitly forbids this because it degrades panel lifespan and performance over time. When I brought this violation to SolarFlair’s attention, they took zero accountability for their crew's careless handling of our system. We have since cut all ties with SolarFlair and contracted a new installer to maintain our sys

I would give them zero stars if possible. We had panels installed less than 9 years ago. My wife noted output was dropping in August and they were notified. They came by in November and disconnected the system without informing us as to the reason. Several months later and after repeated questions they finally told us that we had critter damage and would need extensive repairs. Months after that they finally provide us with a quote without a timeline for repairs. On top of that they do not provide us with any protection from the same critter damage occurring again.

For two months I have been trying unsuccessfully to get SolarFlair to address broken panels and wiring for payment I agreed to. Today I begin my Home Improvement Contractor Complaint Form under M.G.L. CHAPTER 142A & 201 CMR 18 for “Abandoning or failing to perform, without justification, any contract or project engaged in or undertaken by a registered contractor or subcontractor, or deviating from or disregarding plans or specifications in any material respect without the consent of the owner. “ I also intend to share the complaint with the City of Somerville with hopes that other cities do no

We chose SolarFlair because it was a company local to us. Garrett from the sales team was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The time to physically install the panels took an extremely long time so we were not thrilled about that aspect. The installation crew were professional and installed our solar array in one day. There are always delays in projects but I think if the company did a better job with communicating with us about delays and managing our project with more transparency we would have give them 5 stars.

We just did our second solar project with SolarFlair, after having decided to replace our original system after installing a new roof. The team worked closely with us throughout the project, providing clear communication, a detailed solution design, and demonstrating great attention to detail. We enjoyed working closely with Pamela, Bobby, and Jeff and highly recommend them to anyone considering adding solar to their home!

My solar meter wasn’t working A SolarFlair technician, Jeff, came to my house and fixed it. He went up to my roof and cleared away some junk that squirrels were, well, squirreling away up there in the panels which were interfering with the energy transmission to the solar meter. Thanks Jeff, and thanks SolarFlair!

Its website also mentions warranty and years in business, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

    What we don't know

    • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
    • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
    • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
