SolarTidy San Diego Solar Panel Cleaning

Each mark is one company we hold in La Jolla whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. SolarTidy San Diego Solar Panel Cleaning is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Chris, the owner, had a campaign a months ago for his "loyal" customers to prepay for a future cleaning at a discounted rate. Apparently he had no intention of ever delivering the service, as he shut down the company, and simply collected the money and ran. CAUTION ABOUT working with them if they ever return. DO NOT pay them anything up front, as they have a history of taking the money and running. I, like so many others, are now doing credit card fraud work to try to recover the money that was taken from us. This is a shame, because in the past years, this company did very good work.

I guess we must be an anomaly as Solar Tidy's reviews are stellar. Our experience after having used them a few years back: they flaked on us 2 TIMES, with both time us having rescheduled our work schedule around. No warning, just no shows. They asked for a third chance and we passed. Letting a customer know the status of the service call, regardless if they are running late or cannot make it, is basic business communication protocol. Because of this we cannot recommend Solar Tidy.

I pre paid for a year, Chris only came out once and that after I called and called. Don't trust this company. Chris's reply is totally full of lies. I called that number and texted him. Also sent emails. I paid for a years worth of service and only received one cleaning instead of three. He has never made any attempt to contact me

I was very impressed with how clean they got my panels. I have had solar for about 10 years but I never knew I was supposed to get term cleaned so they could work at their best. Im generating more solar power now that they are clean. If you have solar. Give these guys a call to come out and clean them. My only regret is not doing it sooner.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

• Years in business

“California with energy solutions for over 86 years. We’ve installed over 30,000…”

• Insured

“are background-checked and fully insured – We use eco-friendly, panel-safe…”

Its website also mentions better business bureau and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

• It posts on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

• —The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
• —Google publishes no street address for this company, so we cannot say which town it is based in. La Jolla is the area its listing was returned for, not an address we hold.
• —We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
• —We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
