  We had southern coker install 24 panels at our home in Charleston about 2 years ago. We were happy with the installation and at first there were no issues. After the first year of the panels being active, we realized they weren't producing the promised capacity per our contract. We attempted to reach southern coker via phone and email and haven't been able to get in touch with them. Recently, four of the panels stopped working completely! Again, we have tried to call and email and have been so frustrated not to hear back. Be warned!

  Extremely Disappointed – Poor Workmanship, Overcharges, and Ongoing Neglect Our experience with Southern Cocker Solar has been deeply disappointing and frustrating. We hired them to install a solar system in September 2022, but the problems began immediately and have yet to be resolved years later. During installation, one of their technicians fell through our dining room ceiling. They also damaged the roof on our garage by not properly installing screws into the roof correctly and we had to tarp the roof for weeks due to water leaking.   Company sent 2 representatives to evaluate our solar issue. We waited for estimate which was never received and all attempts to contact them for it were ignored. Also, when they came out to inspect system 1 of 3 panels was working but when they left nothing worked. We hired another company whose one technician had us up and running in under 2 days.

  Update***the owner contacted me and their financial dept provided info related to this fraud charge. We were able to file the right documents and the corrections are in the process to reflect in my credit reports. Note to self from this experience #1 check credit routinely and #2 be careful with personal information. Unresponsive. Credit report showing loan from SoCo Power that is not mine. I’ve called and reached out on social sites and emailed but no contact back to resolve this. I’m suspicious there’s some shady financial things with this company.   This company is outstanding. They went out of their way helping us with repairs after the company we purchased unit from went bankrupt. Worked with several employees and all were knowledgeable and professional. We have set up with them to handle all future needs. You cannot go wrong calling this company.
