Its one and two star share is 2 points above the typical installer in the Carlsbad area. Across California, 575 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 30 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Carlsbad area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Stellar Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

I originally chose Stellar Solar because of their amazing reviews and a personal recommendation from a friend who also used Stellar. My frustrations arose when I was having issues recouping battery rebate funds that I'm counting on receiving to make everything pencil out financially. My project has been complete since August of 2023 and I can't get in touch with the appropriate people to finalize my application. It's very concerning. After investing over $100k into this project for my home, I'd really like to enjoy my new solar and battery system with the $26k in rebates that are available to

One of the panels doesnt produceas much as other ones and much less than what it was rated for only a year after installation , they diagnised it and told me that they will compensate for it but after repeated calls for about a year, nothing was sent. Major disappointment.

Contacted this company for a solar quote because I was shopping around and I can't believe how unprofessional the sales rep Marc Cirelli was. After explaining to him my situation and that I was looking for a qoute, he said he would send me one. Received nothing from him so I reached out again. After getting the quote, I mentioned how it was significantly higher than the other I had. He then became very condescending and tried to flaunt how many leads he had vs the competitor. I explained it was a little off putting how he said he would send me a proposal and then didn't. If that's how this bus

Added a battery to our solar system. The process was very smooth through initial consultation thru installation and configuration. Sales, installers, and support have been great. Stellar is a good company to work with to get both Solar and battery back up.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“and maintenance coverage, workmanship warranty, and monitoring for both the solar…”

  • Years in business

“We’ve been in business for over 28 years, and have earned more credit for our…”

Its website also mentions free estimate and established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.

Something wrong here? Tell us and a person will read it.
