  Update I wish we never did business with sun solar. 3/10/26 Panel reinstall after new roof. ($8400) (HOW DO YOU DO THIS AND NOT TEST THE SYSTEM?!) 4/1/26 Tech came out to inspect do to our complaint about limited production and connectors littered around the yard, noted no issues. 4/20/26 Tech incorrectly diagnosed a bad inverter. 6/3/26 Inverter replaced. System still not working after inverter replacement.   UPDATE: I went to the Sun Solar office in Sauget/Cahokia and, let me tell you, it was a sorry site. Walked into the call center area, there was junk and wires and stuff scattered everywhere. The place seemed eerily quiet, and my first impression was that the building had been abandoned. I wandered through the cubicles and found one sole woman working, and she was seemingly not on the phone taking a phone call. She went and got Zach, who took down my information and said he would talk to his manager… but I have little hope in a resolution at this point. It seemed like they were the only two peo

  Sun Solar is great at rushing you into a contract, appearing transparent upfront and through the installation process. They have great relationships with city and electric inspectors who take half a look at the work and decide it’s approved. Once installation is complete and they have the money (40k), good luck getting service requests answered any other time going forward. I’ve been on the phone with them for 2 weeks, talked with 4-5 different employees who aren’t able to get a date marked on the calendar. They insist I need to pay an invoice upfront before they’ll schedule a request, and hav

  Sun Solar started off Great in February. After the contract was signed, they came out and did the Site Survey within a week, even coming back to get better views of the Roof when it was not as windy for the drone. Then it came to a halt. I have an Erie Metal Roof (50-year warranty). Sun Solar was unable to successfully deal with the Erie Metal Roof, so after 5 Months the project was cancelled.

John provided me with all the information I needed up front with complete transparency and made the whole process incredibly easy. Two years after installation, our system is still running perfectly and delivering the exact performance we were promised. Highly recommend!
