Its one and two star share is 1 point below the typical installer in California. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 38 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Carlos and team were a pleasure to work with. From the proposal to permission to operate they were great! I highly recommend Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions for your solar project.

I am so incredibly impressed with this company. We had previously installed solar and had the worst time with our installer. When we wanted to add more to our system, I was seriously dreading it because of our previous experience. These guys were amazing, from quote to finish. Carlos and his team are incredibly honest, efficient, and creative with how they met the challenges in adding to our exisiting system and removing a solar thermal system. I appreciated how they were highly responsive as well. I think they deserve all the accolades and kudos and will highly recommend them to anyone who as

We have a townhouse with limited space, unusual 208V electrical service, no gas service (electric heat), two homeowner associations, and a prior NEM2 solar setup that was not enough. We wanted to max out use of our roof area with non-exporting panels and add a battery to get us through evenings and bad weather. Many other installers would not give us a bid. A neighbor installed a Tesla Powerwall with a different contractor and it would not turn on due to the 208V supply. Sunlight Electri-Cal Solutions took on the job and followed through on the HOA approvals (requiring special insurance arrang

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
