Its one and two star share is level with the typical installer in El Cajon. Across California, 788 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 8 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in El Cajon, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★15%

Each mark is one company we hold in El Cajon whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sunny Solar Power is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Great work. Joe is awesome. They were able to fit my smaller job in during the crunch for the NEM2 deadline. I recently had an issue with communication from my inverter to app. I notified sunny solar and Joe came out the Tuesday before Christmas eve and fixed the issue. My only slight critique is that during the install I had to frequently contact the office for updates regarding application/permit/installation progress. Even with that I would still recommend this company.

I have worked with several solar companies and nobody across the USA comes anywhere close to the low cost deals that this local owned solar company offers. If you want to save 60-80% on your electric bill which is unheard of then contact Sunny Solar Power. They even do their own professional installations. There’s no third party. Everything from beginning to end is handled by this extraordinary small company 🏆🎉🙏

Joe helped us out of a solar power problem a couple years ago. He is totally professional.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Free estimate

“take will offer you a no-pressure, free consultation to see if solar panels are right for…”

  • Years in business

“likely just went up 8% -20%. With over 15 years of experience in renewable energy,…”

Its website also mentions 24/7 availability, better business bureau, licensed and licence number, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
