Its one and two star share is 98 points above the typical installer in Oklahoma. Across Oklahoma, 0 of the 55 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 4 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Oklahoma whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Sunset Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

What reviewers said

If I could give “0” stars I would. Spoke with office personal in 3/2023 they stated our generator was on back order and it would be August sometime for install. No calls, no answer, no business, We need help in recovering our money. $5700 complete installation. 22kw. I have cancelled check for proof and a contract.

Incredibly frustrating company to deal with. Cant ever get a hold of them. Poor installation. Sold me a 12KVA system and installed a 10KVA system.

Anthony Devore and his team did not install our system to code and when shown the problems by our cities, Master Electritian, he refused to fix it unless we paid him. Not only are there multiple code violations (some specific code violations: NEC 250.30(A), NEC 110.14(A), NEC 240.6, NEC 110.12), the panels were not installed per what our contract stipulates, nor to industry standard leaving us with a shoddy system giving significantly less output then discussed. The picture is just one of many examples. Find a better company.

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
