  There was one thing after another getting Tesla to install the solar panels and battery. First they filed the permit with the wrong county! After waiting 6 months for the installation, they then they told me that pinellas county allows only a few hundred watts to be backed-up into the battery so only anything that can plugged into a wall outlet can be backed up to the battery. This means your range, AC will be out of power if the grid is down and if I wanted to cancel the installation, I'd have to start all over again and wait for months again with another company.   Tesla is good to work with until your system breaks. Their customer service is absolutely among the worst companies I have dealt with EVER! They lie to you to get you off the phone. You can’t speak with anyone who can give you specifics on your service request , status of the so called PARTS which are on order (according to them) or,when your system might be fully functioning. My Power Wall failed after 2 1/2 years, 3 weeks later my inverter failed now my system is 100% down and as have no idea what they are doing or when they will have my system fixed. I was told there was a “known” issue it’

  I went with Tesla Solar after comparing a few quotes, and the choice paid off. Their staff explained the pros and cons of microinverters versus string inverters, then installed the system with care. The roof layout looks symmetrical, and the conduit blends with the trim. They also coordinated directly with the power company for net metering. After activation, they gave me a thorough walkthrough of the app. The results so far have matched their projections exactly.

We live in an area where afternoon shade can reduce output, so they adjusted the panel placement after doing a detailed site inspection.
