Its one and two star share is 26 points above the typical installer in the Campbell area. Across California, 81 of the 1,529 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 5 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in the Campbell area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Tigo Energy is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Extremely disappointed with Tigo Energy customer service and technical support. We have an active unresolved issue under Tigo Ticket #385579 involving multiple failures at a school system installation in Puerto Rico, including inverter failures and a battery that appears completely dead due to a BMS issue. I have contacted Kyle Marshall and Petter from customer service multiple times, and the only response we continue receiving is that they are “working on the ticket.” Weeks later, there is still no real resolution, no clear timeline, and no accountability. To make matters worse, the troublesh

Trash! Trash! Trash! And I'm not just talking about their customer service. The hardware is cheaply made junk that you will get no assistance with from the nice people at Tigo Energy.

Niche brand, inverter and batteries are of high quality, I needed some hand holding during commissioning, but I just called in and less than 2 min of wait, I had an engineer for an hour all to myself. After a few months now, the system is still flawless. I have it set up to self-sufficiency with zero export. Backup is seamless. If you're thinking of a battery system or solar plus battery, look no further, 10 stars here.

I have the 7.6KW inverter, 14 Ts4-A-Os. The setup is so easy to do, it commissioned very quickly. All of the power production is on an app that I can check out. Everything is very smooth. Very impressed! Their EI inverter is grid-tie ready so I can upgrade with an ATS and a battery! Would highly recommend!

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Years in business

“to joining Tigo in 2020, JD spent over 3 years as the VP of Marketing and Pricing at…”

Its website also mentions established, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It posts on X, Facebook and LinkedIn. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
