Its one and two star share is 8 points above the typical installer in Lehi. Across Utah, 43 of the 167 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 167 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Each mark is one company we hold in Lehi whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. VITL is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

They will hire anyone who will breathe. Then ghost them afterwards. Wasted promises. Wasted time.

THESE GUYS ARE A SCAM! Don’t buy solar from them. They will do their sales pitch and offer a bunch of perks for signing up for solar through them. They say that the project will be ready to go in a few weeks, but I bought my solar system in August, and it wasn’t turned on until the following year in February. They said they would give us a $250 gift card to Home Depot once the solar panels were turned on. It’s now the middle of April, and my sales rep, Josiah Rodriguez, kept on saying “it’s in the mail” and “it should only be a couple days.” I still have not received it, and he’s been ghosting

They came to Lubbock, TX to sell solar panels. Pressured me into a contract that took forever to get situated then after the installation my panels underproduced what was guaranteed in the contract. Ive gotten zero help after install. Terrible decision to do business with their salesmen.

The process took a long time to complete. FreedomForever was our Solar contractor. We contracted in November 2022, and are just now going to be ready for real solar service, August of 2023, so 10 months. In fairness, the roof was replaced and completed in April 2023, so we could not start on solar until roof was ready, but is still a long time to wait.

Love my solar and happy chance turner was my sales rep.

I have heard stories of people who go solar, then the company goes out of business. VITL is partnered with Freedom Forever, the largest installer in the US, so that gave me confidence that they would be around to take care of me and my solar! The reps were great and I was notified every step of the way of the progress. It has been a great experience and I feel confident they will be around a very long time!

Everyone was really informed and helped me through the process.

Topics Google derives from the review text, with how often each appears. A frequent topic is not a good one: “price” turns up in praise and in complaints alike.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on the Better Business Bureau and Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
