Would not hire this company ever again. Found them through a county-run group-buying program. Project management was distant/absent; I found several errors in the engineering documents. Communication within this company is abhorrent. Accounting repeatedly tried to overcharge me after I had signed change orders with the project manager. Installlers did NOT use ANY fall protection on the 20’ high roof. Installer used a tapping device on my main feeder cables that arced and melted the insulation. Good thing the whole house didn’t burn down!! Inverter failed after 5 months. Service manager stopped

The install process seemed very slow, I signed a contract on 4/12 and they didn't install the system until 9/22, so I missed that entire summer of solar production. Almost every bill they sent me had incorrect prices, so I needed to always check their math and then wait until they issued a corrected version. The bills were not itemized so it was difficult to track what I was even paying for. Add on electrical work was ridiculously overpriced. The sales team gave incorrect information regarding roofing tax breaks, which they must have know to be false. The SREC process is terrible; I had to rep

My experience with Windfree was/is poor. The communication from their end from start thru now has been severely lacking. It’s always reactive from them, never proactive. They had to come to my place almost a dozen times. Multiple times they no showed on me - no respect for my time. They would work on other jobs before completing mine. I called their CEO to voice my displeasure and he brushed me off with excuses and then never bothered to follow up with me ever again to check in and see if his team had made things right. They say they’ve done hundreds of jobs and my poor experience was a one-of

We had a great experience with Windfree Solar installing our residential system. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and our questions were always answered promptly throughout the entire process. Would highly recommend working with them for your home's solar project!

Cynthia was great in diagnosing the issue and working with enphase to get the part still under warranty. Great support post installation.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.
What we don't know
- The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
- We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
- We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
