We have been trying to have solar panels installed through Able Energy since February 2017. There have been many promises of an install date, then it is pushed back or completely ignored. I have been requesting our deposit of over $11,000 back with no response. Please, just return our money!!

Negative 50 stars. Harvey sent out notices of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy on October 8, 2018. Search for "Startribune" and Able energy for news articles about the debacle. All the deposits people paid appear to be gone.

Our 5kw solar was installed in September of 2016 by Able Energy. It has been working just as it was said to work and we have eliminated our electric bill, except for the electric utility base charge. If our electric coop ( Taylor Electric) gave us a fair price for our excess power our bill would be zero or we would have a payment by the power company for our excess power we produced. Able Energy works with you to design a system that meets your needs so you are not producing too much power. Check out your electric utility and see what they are willing to credit you for excess power. The EGAGE

Able Energy is a top notch solar installer. This is the second solar install I have had done and Able energy was top notch the entire way. The team came out and installed the entire unit within 2 days. That was so impressive and rare in this industry. Able Energy sets up an online communication network that kept me informed the entire time. During the install I was in constant communication with the team and they updated me each step of the way. They posted pictures, documents and information online for me to view. Able energy handled all of the communication with the utility company as well a

Installed a 10 kWh system on my farm 8 years ago. Just recently the system went down and they repaired it. They stand by their product and service it, even after 8 years.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We found nothing on a website for this company that states a warranty, a licence or how long it has traded.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
