Its one and two star share is 13 points above the typical installer in the Minneapolis area. Across Minnesota, 13 of the 68 installers whose breakdown Google has published carry a higher share than this one.

The percentages are Google’s own arithmetic over every review it holds, not a sample we assembled. Separately we hold 272 review texts for this company, quoted below. Google publishes review ages rather than dates, so every date here is approximate.

Every company we hold in the Minneapolis area, on one axis

0% rated 1–2★25%

Each mark is one company we hold in the Minneapolis area whose Google breakdown has been read, placed by its share of one and two star reviews. Everlight Solar is the red one. The amber line is the middle of that set, which includes suppliers and maintenance businesses as well as installers.

Please do your research before letting EverLight Solar anywhere near your home or financial information. Their business relies heavily on high-pressure door-to-door sales tactics and deceptive promises that have already drawn serious legal action from state regulators. Key red flags to watch out for: Fake Utility Affiliation: Sales reps routinely open door pitches claiming to be with local utility companies or official "Net Metering programs." They are a private sales company and have NO official affiliation with your power provider. Harassing Canvassing: Expect reps to ignore "No Solicitation

Not a fan of pushy door to door sales pitches. The guy wouldn't leave my door steps or take no for an answer. He was intent on scheduling me. "No" means "no." It's 2025. If I want or need something, I'll research or buy it online.

Sales creep pounded on our door 4 times in two days, including after 8 pm in violation of Plymouth ordinance. These are not the kind of people I want making holes in my roof. Always the canned response. Reminder that you live in Minnesota. Your solar panels won't work in the dark and covered with snow.

Had a problem in the evening that needed an urgent response, Everlight had an electrician show up less than an hour later and got me up and running. Cooper and Emerson were quick to diagnose, and fix the problem. Very professional and courteous. Would recommend A+++ service and care.

The installation lead and crew were outstanding. The lead walked me through the process clearly, the team completed the job quickly, and the clean up was thorough. Highly recommend!

Lost power yesterday. Solar kicked in. Still had AC. Thank you very much.

What the company says about itself

Taken from its own website. We have not checked any of it, and a sentence on a website is not evidence.

  • Warranty

“solar panels that you own. 3. 25-year Warranty We monitor your solar system and back…”

Its website also mentions free estimate, but not in a sentence we can quote cleanly.

Elsewhere

  • It is also reviewed on Yelp. Worth reading before you sign anything: those are a different crowd, and the complaints that reach the Better Business Bureau rarely reach Google.
  • It posts on TikTok, X, Instagram and Facebook. A page that stopped posting years ago tells you something a listing will not.

Who Google shows alongside them

Google’s own “people also viewed” set, in Google’s order. It is Google’s comparison, not ours.

The ones without a link have no page here, either because Google does not categorise them as solar businesses or because we could not match the name to a listing with confidence.

Ordered by how much we can tell you about each, which is not an order of quality. We do not know which of these is better and would not say if we did.

What we don't know

  • The date above is the newest review we hold, which is not necessarily the newest that exists — we hold a large share of Google's reviews, not all of them.
  • We do not verify licences, insurance or bonding. Nothing here has been checked against a state licensing board.
  • We cannot tell you what an installation costs, and we hold nothing about the equipment they fit.
